west beat mervue B 2nite to qualify for the last 8,wasn't at the game,i believe west rested alot of players and were nearly caught on the hop by a mervue side who deserved something out of the game.west are now at home to either blues our mervue A in the last 8.

As far as i am aware Blues requested that the match be moved to midweek & rangers agreed. Rangers never looked to have game postponed and were always going to play sunday. Don't know about any wedding, news to me.

I heard last night from a blues man said rangers have a wedding and requested it off, Blues would have not had a team all right on Sunday so i think they are getting off with it all right, lucky!

True enough smellycat , sure who would marry any of those Rangers b lads ??? Seeing as Tuam Stars are out , surely blues could field , the only thing re this thye will not see out the season if they are depending on same gaa players to help them out come feb/ march .

No idea who scored, agree that the weather may interfere but it may clear, Pats should be too strong.

Goalscorers for rangers b were eoghan dooley, dara king & steve glynn - blues had some good chances to score in both halves & probably should have been only 1 goal behind at the break instead of 2.

Blues will get stronger as the season continues and have enough good players to challenge, if they get their act together (sooner rather than later)

Maybe, but they have lost Cathal hynes Johnny Trayers to Celtic, and Darren Kelly to West, so if they lose out in Abbey on Thurs it will get more difficult. But i agree they still have some quality....

Result tonight - Mervue Utd B 2-1 Corrib Rangers B

Two goals , one in each half, from Eoin O'Boyle got Mervue off to a winning start. Damien Sherry equalised for Rangers to leave in tie at 1-1 at H-T. Eoin O'Boyle put Mervue back in front after the break and they should have added to that but missed some good chances with Pa Burke missing the best. Mervue debuts for Dave Cummins, Tino Curran and Kevin Curran and Kev O'Reilly starred in goals for 10 mins!!!! Should have left him there as Rochie drop Rangers goal into the net!!

Well done Rocket good predication on this one!! and Rangers 1st game!

Mervue Utd B 4-2 Moyne Villa

Mervue's B team kept up their impressive start to the season with a 4-2 win over Moyne Villa at Fahy's Field on Wednesday evening. Goals from
Barry Comer, Johnathan Molloy and Eoin O'Boyle gave Mervue a 3-1 half time lead.

A second goal from Johnathan Molloy saw the home team extend their lead to 4-1 before Moyne Villa pulled a second goal back to make it 4-2. three wins from three games for Mervue

mervue are a good bet to win the league out .bernards look strong too...going down four teams that look weak now are crumlin, blues, villa ,rangers.but still a long way to go things can improve for them.

Darren kelly is so over rated,by stars and blues, maybe it`s because there`s so little talent in both clubs that this player`s name keeps cropping up in articles... may it be Tuam Herald or the Galway Sentinel,a Sham Playing for the West????? When i see him decked out in the Green and white it`ll be for Tuam Celtic and Not West Utd....
Ya may as well ring Joe Canning get him playing for Castlegar...
