west beat mervue B 2nite to qualify for the last 8,wasn't at the game,i believe west rested alot of players and were nearly caught on the hop by a mervue side who deserved something out of the game.west are now at home to either blues our mervue A in the last 8.

Looks like Milltown are the team to beat in 4B this year with 3 wins out of 3 under their belts. Anyone know anything about them ?

No they don't have any dressing rooms this year, doubt they have the space to setup a dressing room at all with the small parking area and pitch. We played them at the start, they have 2 good strikers thats all which covers the lack of talent in the rest of the team. It took a late penalty and injury time goal for them to beat us!

its a long way for some teams to go without having changing and shower facilities Evil or Very Mad i have also heard a rumor that West Coast have no facilities if this is true i dont think any team should have to travel that far out and change in a car! make them play their games away if that is the case

Your spot on there Del boy. No changing facilities, no home games IMO.

probablt true mick Very Happy but we live in the 21st century now and i think the least that can be expected is a place to change, have a team talk etc . the days of changing in cars are gone or so i thought Rolling Eyes

too true Del Boy,ya we all started without dressing rooms Mick but time moves on and we have to try and improve as Clubs...
1 Example; Kilshanvey, years toging in cars and climbing over walls, but they`ve the ground work in and it looks like it`ll be a good place to play in the next year or 2,
Give Milltown a chance they`ve only set up in the last year or so,nice pitch to play on, so one step at a time
It`s the clubs in the league that do nothing with their set up that need to be addressed...

We may have no pitch but I guarantee you jose that ellens won't be last, a mid table finish at least sure we beat ramblers 3-2 away at the wknd. Who do u play for jose?! We have no pitch but we are creating a new one for next season plus dressing rooms and proper car parking facilities which alot of other clubs in this division should try to follow!!

Fair play to ye Ellens , what happened to the field - past the field ( in over the wall ) out the Monivea rd ?

Owner needed the field for his horses but we had plans for the last few seasons to redevelop or move the pitch. The new pitch will be beside the road and the entrance just along the back of the goals (Monivea side)For a club with limited resources and a small squad compared to other teams in the division we have done well, reasonable league finish most years, in the MJCrowe final 2yrs ago and almost won the reserve league last year!
