west beat mervue B 2nite to qualify for the last 8,wasn't at the game,i believe west rested alot of players and were nearly caught on the hop by a mervue side who deserved something out of the game.west are now at home to either blues our mervue A in the last 8.

There will be 19 teams in this years A league. Castlebar Celtic have been awarded a spot.

Galway United, Salthill, Devon, Tullamore Celtic, 9 other Premier Division reserve sides plus reserves from Sporting Fingal, UCD, and Finn Harps will be competing.

FC Carlow, Tralee, and Cobh Ramblers are the other sides in the competition.

Format hasnt been decided and probably wont get under way till May.

There is a senior cup kicking off this weekend . Seems daft , mostly junior teams , strange time of year to be starting a meaningless competition .Lots of clubs have back logs of games and on cup runs as it is .

I think this league kicked off recently , anyone know whats happening , maybe put team lists up , management etc ???
Known for great football, no launch or publicity will surely lead to its demise , wouldn't happen in other sports .
