I would like to congratulate Salthill Devon on winning the under 13 (legal )league , they won it deservadly so as they were they top team that did not play a man on the team well done Devon and also well done to the other 7 legal teams in the division !

west beat mervue B 2nite to qualify for the last 8,wasn't at the game,i believe west rested alot of players and were nearly caught on the hop by a mervue side who deserved something out of the game.west are now at home to either blues our mervue A in the last 8.

Looks like a two horse race in the absence of T.C and others this year.
On the one hand you have Salthill who won u15s last season and got to 2 SFAI cup finals with this squad. Their win in Umbro cup against their u17s will have helped albeit i heard they were lucky.
On the other hand , you have Mervue , who would not normally enter calculations but the players gained from other teams absence will make them stronger. Gartland, Mc Entee, Shaughnessy, Mannion and N.Quinn a superb athlete who captained the County Galway GAA Team scoring 2-4 in either semi or final of Ted Webb recently. If all the new players play with the same tenacity as Niall , they would have a chance but this Mervue squad have won nothing since their u12 days.
Salthill to sneak it from Mervue with the rest nowhere.......
