west beat mervue B 2nite to qualify for the last 8,wasn't at the game,i believe west rested alot of players and were nearly caught on the hop by a mervue side who deserved something out of the game.west are now at home to either blues our mervue A in the last 8.

If Moyne Villa have a full complement of players without GAA on their minds they could go all the way !

PostSubject: Villa v Rangers!   Sun May 10, 2009 2:03 pm

3-1 to Moyne Villa. Villa went 2 nil up in the first half with rangers getting one before the break. Villa were the better team throughout with Enda Hannon getting a fine volley in the second half and villa keeper making some good saves! A good and fair match with both teams giving it their all!

Interesting to see who will win the final! What is the story with Terryland is it closed for 2 weeks or something?

Closed from the 17th May for two weeks , dont know the reason???

no league of ireland fixtures in terryland weekend of 22/23 may its the only free weekend over the next few months so from the 19th until 28th may is the only break the pitch will get to do repair work and sodding etc i was told .game there every second day up until then and for 2 weeks after
28th all underage finals have been fixed ,the only junior cup final been played there is the michael byrne on 7th june .all the fixtures are posted on the notice board in the hall in terryland i seen it on sunday .
its some amount of games played with over 50 fixtures up to end of may so far this year

The weather yesterday really showed up the magnificent work , Noel Connolly and his gang do up there , where is there a better pitch ?
I am sure if Noel was looking after Wembley stadium they would not have had to dig up that pitch .

Has all the makings of a good game , and neutrals from town could do a lot worse than go up and see these two sides in action .An earlier prediction by someone on the site said if Moyne Villa had a full complement including all the GAA players they could go all the way , he wasn't far off the mark at the time . I would love to see Moyne Villa win it , but think Colemanstown have that little bit more firepower . After extra time , CUFC 3 MV 2 .

No, Colemanstown definitely won't win considering they were knocked out in the semi-finals.
It's a Bernards vs Villa final. It's gonna be a close one to call if both have full squads (which they should!).

Come on Ledley ye are bigger than that I thought . Ye are doing the two other clubs a favour here , not the Galway FA . You never know when ye might need one back .
Go on shock em all and have the ground looking like Wembley ( not joking , heard someone say like when it was dug up ...). After the game ye might even be able to have a public stringing up from the Goalposts ??????Twisted Evil Twisted Evil Twisted Evil Twisted Evil Twisted Evil Twisted Evil you never know who might show up .Get buddy to put on the Ku Klux Klan outfit Twisted Evil Twisted Evil Twisted Evil

We have our own "gallows " opposite Geoghans Nightclub , beside old cemetry ........fair enough as its supposed to be for bird watching as described by County Councill ,it couldnt be better situated , as most weekends theres plenty of birds coming out "locked" with nothing on but hankerchiefs for skirts ???I would be more than happy to pull the handle and no blindfolds allowed .....
An utter eyesore and the general feeling is that some poor young person will use it for a sad and wrong reason one day ???
Burn it down ...........better still with the boyo"s on top.
Can understand Tuams feelings with the contempt they received at Conn Branch meeting when a senior officer FA was seen to "snigger" AT THE 2 REPS FROM TUAM , KNOWING THAT A REG LETTER HAD BEEN SENT EARLIER IN THE DAY , TAKING THE 3 POINTS BACK OFF THEM THEY HAD JUST WON ON OBJECTION.
Put it on in Mervue !!!

PostSubject: Bernards V Villa   Fri Jun 05, 2009 7:54 am

Just like to wish both teams the best of luck tonight at half 7 in Mervue. Should be a great game and may the best team win. Theres a high possibility of extra time being required and a lot will go down to fitness.

My Prediction : Bernards 2 Villa 3 AET

This is a one off game and nothing to do with the way the year has gone for either club with some great players on show this evening. Any1 with any predictions for tonight?? bounce

Bernards 3nil... Player for player bernards are a long way ahead of villa. they have a lot of speed in attack and villa are seriously lacking pace at the back.
