Michael Byrne Cup

west beat mervue B 2nite to qualify for the last 8,wasn't at the game,i believe west rested alot of players and were nearly caught on the hop by a mervue side who deserved something out of the game.west are now at home to either blues our mervue A in the last 8.

heard that athenry have been up to there usual pre season poaching and have held talks with some big junior players in galway and mayo to try go all the way in the irish cup. its sad state of junior football when the red necks are able to poach the best country and city based players all because of roman gilhooley but sure thats football. heard they mite even put a late bid in for ronaldo if real cant offer him the full package. heard it hear first dont forget it. Any other clubs made new signings to count for losses to the A league Question Question Question

Ive got the outcome right for the last three years on this site , and fairly close on several previous occassions , I will now publically state ; 1 The easy part Athenry will not win Irish junior cup and 2 , They will not retain the premier league this year . My tips are West United or Mervue !

West are back training on july 8th,rumours of a new trainer and players are rampant,if true, there shud be big improvement this year, not going to mention names unless they can be confirmed 100%,because you hear alot of bullshit rumours this time of year.

Flea i believe you may have got this one wrong, simon murray is in fact going to mervue,i was told this by a west player today, who wasn't a very happy camper to say the least as he had already told west he was stayin but it looks like he has now done a u turn.

Willie will not be at West this season , major loss to West for the foreseeable future . He leaves on wednesday morning on a 3 year scholarsip to Virginia Tech university where he will study a sports rehabilitation course and play "soccer" , big going away party in Monroes on Tuesday night !

i had a quick look at west training last nite about 30 down,i was 2 far away 2 see how many new faces their was but i did spot GARETH GORMAN who was playin with oranmore last year,a decent left sided player, their may have been more but i couldn't make them out from a distance.

one thing for sure they will be fit,i taught it was racehorses tommy lally was training lol!

The old skool way , without the fancy coaching badges , will do them a power of good .Already more eager than last year , where they had 6/8 weeks done by now , wil pay off ! West don't need Gareth Gorman !

Conor Cleary lined out for Rangers in the friendly against us on Sunday....so i doubt he's leaving Rangers at this stage!

Simon Murry has connections up there in Dave Daly so it's understandable why he's coming up!!

I think you mean Colgas 2 biggest piss heads. The two lads in question were practically the 2 worst performers for Colga last season both on and off the pitch so I don't think anyone will be lamenting their lost. They will be quickly found out at Hibs.

thats full of shit, the two lads ran there bollocks off lastyear for the club, i sense bitterness, how are you supposed to keep players at a club with no facilities. colga are more interested in pontoons than staying in the premier.... complete joke.

Heard one of them centre half one striker if so won't get on team anyway if stumpy gets fit and mark moran there and with barry moran up front and other strikers hard to see them getting too many games.
