In Tuams hands now. Win 2 of their 3 remaining games and the league is theirs. However...........they still have to play Kilshanvey and Moyne Villa both of whom are still challenging. Both still unbeaten but have drawn 2. Havent seen Tuam yet but can confirm that both Kilshanvey and and Moyne Villa are very good well organised sides. A credit to their coaches.

Victor after reffing Ramblers 4 V Crumlin 1 , i would expect Tuam to win this one comfortable and , go on and win the league with ease. If they take a point of either of other two , will still win ............

In truth Tuam should have it won by Feb 21st. While Tuam are deffinatly favs to beat Crumlin, I wouldn't rate them (Crumlin) by the game against Ramblers. They were very understrength that day and were actually winning at half time untill their manager made some stupid changes at the break!

After seeing TC U12 this morning I can say without any doubt that they the are the best team in Div 1 East by a country mile. Very strong in every position. I expect them to win the league with 100% record intact. If they stick together and listen to their manager Paddy (sound bloke btw) they could easily compete with the big guns in U13 premier next year. Very impressed. The TC No. 7 (Malaysian guy) is excellent. Physically very strong and great passer of the ball. Very good in the air too. TC could have the next Roy Keane!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Firstly i was informed by a committee member in T.C that they had 3 games left , unfortunately not so as its home and away and leaves 10 games remaining, not half way there yet but congrats to T.C u12s on their big score win , and fair play to Victor on his honest assessment of them . Should win league but you never know....... good for T.C to get another good team so quick. Last win before the u13s two seasons ago was 10 yrs previous, so maybe the old "academy" is working Ledley????cheers
Hope the club have learnt from past mistakes , with two other first time maverick coaches in charge having success , leave the winning formula alone , or they wont be there at u14s or 15s................

What's wrong with the lads playing gaa? Won't it toughen them up? Instead of having to watch all this painful Ronaldo,Drogba going down at the slightest touch, rolling around on the pitch!!! That really annoys me Evil or Very Mad Put Ronaldo in the gaa and see how he fairs out Neutral

Nothing wrong with playing GAA girl but theres a problem when your told by a club like Tuam Stars to make up your mind , one or the other, f...... dictators!!!!!
i.e Tuam C , juniors were playing an important match today V Mac Dara away, the stars put on training this morning with 4 celtic players and 2 Blues players involved. Told they could go at 10.30 , kept them till 11.30????
i.e When i was manager of u12s we were to play Mervue in cup semi , the stars put on training same time as match. I told the lads semi was more important than training and anyone who didnt turn up for match could stay away. They all turned up and we lost unluckily 2-1. Next day i got phonecall from gaa manager giving out about my ultimatum , told him where to go. That was the beginning of the end for me as T.C manager during and after u13s season even though we won 4 cups at u13s ,between the parents being swayed by the stars and celtic committee interfeering themselves......

There has to be co-operation and communication , not a club dictating to the other!!!!!!

Nothing wrong with the gaa as a game , but buddys answer is spot on , they are heavily involved in trying to get as many kids lost to their sport to soccer back with them by every means possible .They are now on a 10 month plus training schedual , for what maybe 6 / 7 games if they win the county final .The reason they are training kids in the winter is to get them away from soccer and rugby , fact ! Sport for all ...yes , fair sport for all ....my arse ! Remember they are the ones telling the kids to make a choice as to what they play , tell them to fuck off and then ask them why ?

As for Ronaldo .......why dosn't he play GAA , .......gg that is the worst question ever put on this forum ....... no wonder girls arn't allowed eat yorkie bars >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>okay I will tell you , rule 435 of the gaga hanbook .... good looking tanned lads with firm stomachs and flashy yellow boots are not allowed join as mna macra na feirme would be wanting to put posters of him up in the barn , this would distract them from milking the hens . lol!

Dont know about Ronaldo but whilst manager of TC u13s few yrs back went to a one and only gaa match to check on my players ......Annaghdown V Tuam Stars u14s i think and Eathan Mannion who scored 75 goals for me at u13s beat ye on his own scoring 4-6 in the course of the game . Now with West Brom , i firmly believe if he had chosen Gaelic, albeit a big mistake , he would have made the Galway Senior Team with little ease in time , a tremendous talent?????cheers

From what I can see there's a lot of ultimatums given all round to young lads and girls playing all sports. Let them play what they want to play. I would ask any coach at the end of the day would he or she rather create the perfect machine for playing just their sport, or an athlete who can play everything and uses sport for what it is, a hobby, pastime, passion, escape from the nasty, greed infested little country that we live in today.

Don't mean to preach but cop on coaches/managers of all games.

dt , we live in a democratic country not a dictatorship , where we should have freedom of speech , movement , choices ect . For a club like Tuam Stars to give young and older lads ultimatums , "one or the other" , is paramount to greed and a self imposed opinion that they (gaa) are better than us?????
People know that T.C and i have not always seen , eye to eye , but i can honestly state 100% that , Tuam Celtic have never issued their players ,since their inception in 1974 , with such demands.......
Let people choose for themselves and communicate and accomadate where possible???

Yes , if you look at tables and fixtures on galwayfa.net the fixtures are now starting to appear in reverse with home advantage to other team. General rule over the years was if more than 10 teams in a div only 1 game, but less is home and away.

That is a very strange unthought out rule . In the u 12 first div , 9 teams , they play 18 matchs , along with the fact that this division can never have a full complement of teams out each week , odd number .In the u 14 first division 10 teams with each club only getting 9 games .Two years older and half the amount of games .
This is a joke , an all out effort has to be made to get c 18 league games per team , kids are sick of going week in week ot without a match, home and away for all divisions next year please .
Also put on every age group on the same weekend , give more kids a chance to develope their game , don't give into the greedy managers who want success at any cost , eg playing 12 year olds at u 13 level at the expense of an u13 . Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes
