There will be no ladies soccer season unless the referees who reffed the games this year get paid . They have been told by the Galway fa that they will not be paid , as the person responsible for collecting the fees from the ladies clubs has not done so .
Two of the refs involved told me unless they are paid in full by 25th of Oct ( this month ) no referees will bw forthcoming for next season .

Now ladies have ye an answer for this ?

League over and running since march and ye havn't the decency to pay the bills .

As of now the Ladies League is still under the remit of GFA , so my take is pay the refs and sort out your own problems indoors. If this gathers momentum , there were only 5 refs this season , no ref in his right mind will want anything to do with it next season. Hard enough to get them as it is ....... No

We have to get some sort of meeting together. New clubs included.
Get one representative from every team rather than the one person running it. Surely 3 or 4 people could over rule him?!

Now that is ridiculous not to get paid............ but on the other hand..... the quality of referees is pure horse poo... dung, brutal too the world. so maybe there is a lesson to bbee learned and.....

over 15 people completed a referees course last season, arranged by the galway FA, majority trainees were female, course cost 50 euro!!!!
not one of these ladies got a call to referee a game. they never even got any cert to say that they completed the course... so who is fooling who with money...... ??

Lucky my club covered my cost... but what a waste.... there are plenty willing to referee games.... they just need to be asked, they could only be a mass improvement to the alternative of dreadfull selection referees that already exist Exclamation Exclamation

You have some cheek slating the refs , who the feck do you think you are ? What are you expecting , fifa level ? Your whole post is a mish mash of crap and nonsense .
The refs as I posted did not get paid .
Your club you say wasted money on you , are you that bad ? Plenty willing to ref games - contact Terryland they need refs .
If people went on a course and need proof they were on it , get a receipt .
Did they passa referees examination ? A deaf , dumb and blind person could have attended that course . Most of the females on that course are currently playing members of clubs in the ladies league , so how the feck could they ref in the same league ????
Next time you come on the site pissed , domt attempt to write . As Mr T would say FOOL Arrow Arrow Arrow

Just when i was getting used to yesterday along came today , minnie me, and im in bad form. Heard you had to give up the reffing for your health as your little fat thighs kept rubbing together and setting your togs on fire....true Al???
My mind not only wanders but sometimes leaves completely , but reading your above comments leads me to believe , according to you , the above could well mean the reason you only got 5 refs willing to ref ladies league , in your interpetation , is the bad quality , so in your words you got 5 bad refs , to boot. Your opinion Al , and i respect it , (not really) but 3 of the 5 are now soceity refs .
Fair play to ya though but bit of advice get a bigger air soft gun for yourself, if your going stirring or a laddle!!!!!!!!! Laughing Wink Cool

There is a refs meeting tomorrow night in the hall in Peterswell , and if the money is not paid by then , no refs for next summer for Galway ladies . The same refs have another offer for next summer to ref a new national futsal competition being run from Feb to Aug , if they want the job there they have to commit in writing by friday . Someone better get the finger out fast .

On a serious note , with the intervention of the Refs Soceity , fair play to them , looks like it will be sorted shortly. I know that refs are unwilling to committ next season , some for reasons above with others for their own reasons , Tayto. Laughing

There ya go, the clubs weren't invoiced for the referees fees until now. So instead of bitching off the Ladies Soccer as a whole, why not attack the person who hired the 5 refs and gave them their fixtures, and then failed to make sure they were payed the same way as the mens leagues referees. (Wonder who that is????) All of the Ladies teams ARE affiliated to the G&DL.

Everyone knows where the problem lies, but just like the mens side nobody cares enough to do anything about it. I'm fed up trying to organise people to try to get the ladies a better league, so, if anyone out there wants all the contacts for the ladies teams, give me a shout and you'll see that they'll all agree with you but aren't willing to do a thing about it, (bar one or two).

dt your spot on , FA chairman informed this week he should take an interest in ladies league as well as every other league under the remit of GFA. Some Ladies clubs have paid no fees whatsoever yet and the season is over. Invoices for these fees have also been sent out . Elect a sub committee of FA committee made up of genuine members of ladies league .i.e managers , players ect. to organise your league next season and take the power out of one mans hands. Believe it or not some people in FA are now concerned , because of lack of fees prob. , and will be taking steps to prevent a repeat next season , thus would welcome a committee top run it .

Oh my god, why didn't we think of this earlier?! It's clear from other discussions that the Galway FA is about money, that's all they care about...so if they don't get money that is due, they take notice!

It would have been a cunning plan... Twisted Evil
