Her first time playing with an adult team , she said bud and danny doing a great job , but she thinks the team will fall apart unless certain people are pulled to one side . Her words not mine ! Sad news coming from someting promising and I think marydrummer will be really peed off about . Evil or Very Mad Sad Sad

It's going to be as simple as this. Anyone who wants to play football can line up behind me. Anyone who wants to play the politics game can go home or play GAA. Which ever they fancy.

Friday's match has given us the spark we needed again footballing wise.

We'll be around to play the league. I'll be damned if I cancelled a 3 month trip to America next summer coz I wanted to play football in the league and then end up sitting on my arse doing nothing!

Yes, we have every intention of joining the league next year!

It's a tough one to call really. GAA season will be back and we have 3-4 players who will be committed to that, soccer being second for them. It'll come down to consistency, something we haven't quite nailed yet.
Hoping the new clubs which will be joining (if they do), won't be as good as us! lol!
I think we can nick a few surprising draws here and there from the likes of yerselves and Oranbay! Laughing

It's gonna spice things up a little for the league, which I'm sure ye'll be glad of.

That's my biased opinion, it seems that judgeroybean and Buddy would may have more balanced opinions.

Well gg i could answer that question now as a neutral , with an assessment of the team in an honest fashion or do it like a manager giving a team talk prior to game with a not so honest approach ........Which one ???????
But Rome wasent built in a day , they have 8 months to get it right !!!! On the whole a grand bunch of girls with mainly a lot of dedication , none more so than Mary D .
Dont think present Galway league teams will be losing much sleep at the moment and i stress "at the moment",but they have time on their hands ,
If ye want an honest assessment of players i will give it !!!!!!!!!

A bit of fun as discussed with Mary as neither of us picks team but that person is well capable of picking his own.
(1)michelle m.....pleasure to work with , great keeper esp with high balls and k.outs ......only weakness low hard drives .
(2)l.back emma ......best player by far in last few games . certain starter.
(3) center backs .......karen .....best player in team with consistant efforts , great kick and header of a ball . reads game well.
michelle k .......as far as i can see hasent played a full game yet but her leadership will get her there. could see her troubled by salthill strikers , suzie and carole (ashe) , triona (oranbay) and una (renmore).
(4) r.back......Triona kav... usual player might not be around as reminded by mary . triona has played up front all games but lack of goals her downfall despite her dedication, a gamble worth taking.
(5)l.mid .......Mary D ......best touch with ball at feet and a good brain . only 5ft nothing but 6ft 6 when on the pitch.
(6) r.mid .....imelda ....in my opinion not a center mid , has to be on wing . tends to lose concentration.
(7)c.mids ...Jen S. ....A WORKHORSE OF A PLAYER , has to be there .
Lorraine ....good strong athlete , only position for her .
(8)strikers ........has to be Aoife B as stats have shown , only one that can score , tends to drift in and out of games though. very fast .
Sarah A........i see something in this girl . touch only second to mary. great potential , could be very good .

There you go mary we differ according to your 11 in pm . As for league i fear gaa and work will hinder your chances of getting best team on pitch in any game as k.o is usually 6.30 or 7.00 on mon or wed nghts. After seeing all present 7 teams in action several times this season and including T.C next season( but omitting any new teams i know nothing about) i reckon out of the eight teams i predict a 7th or 8th place finish. Hope im wrong but as i said ye have time on yer hands but ye could do with about 5 good players from somewhere.?????? Best of luck nonetheless..... cheers

1 or 2 suprises there alright and a few difference of opinions. Re: finding players from places, we've been lucky to get as many players as we have so I'm not gonna complain. Although, apparently there is a girl going to join us after Christmas who is a serious player who can play in most positions so maybe we can fill the Right Back position or if she's a goalscorer, up front with Aoife.
Work and GAA effects every team, I can see GAA hindering us quicker than work commitments. College will be out for the summer so that's a few girls back. Rioghna for Right Back? She'll be on her good side then...

Reffed games this season with teams playing at times with 10 players and most teams missing best players at times. If Amy H comes back then certainly she would be up front with Aoife.........

Yeah she could definitely make her way in there. The new girl started last Thursday, haven't met her yet. She's pretty good from what I hear and I think she likes to play up front...

Yeah i knew he was going to New York alright so he won't be joining me for the Liverpool match on Sunday.

I think it's something that happens to most clubs during the winter, hence not many clubs actually train through the winter. But because we are new and we need the practice, we kinda need to. Doing things a bit backwards to other clubs but sure what the hell?!

Haha! Well when ya say "join us", it sounds like poaching! lol

With college, I can only train on Fridays, the girls are training Mondays and Thursdays. Have the week off college next week so I can't wait to get in those training sessions and then we are playing Claremorris on Friday evening in Tuam.
