west beat mervue B 2nite to qualify for the last 8,wasn't at the game,i believe west rested alot of players and were nearly caught on the hop by a mervue side who deserved something out of the game.west are now at home to either blues our mervue A in the last 8.

The analogy wasn't out of the top drawer but it got the point across!
It was nice to see Stan down to have a look. Yeah lovely new footballs, hard as rocks they are!

I'm sore now...and we didn't do any twisty things so I could only imagine...

Re the hard balls , buddy is taking notes , and has confirmed over the next 5 / 6 weeks they will be slightly different ??? Don't get that and he wont get any either !!!!
The coach didnt do the twisty exercises ???? Keep that quiet or uefa will be after him , did he do the cycling exercises without the bicycles then ??? Bloody torture ..... he used to kill the lads a few year back with them . Tis all ahead of ye .
Tip re ur soreness , probably just stiff from not warming down after the sesion properly ....coach ..... just get a lemon rind and rub it in to the areas effected then sprinkle vinegar over that , starightaway you will be okay . Dont ask me how that works , but it does .[/quote]

Jesus Mary ye have me worn out , fell asleep on the couch , thanks for the mention on previous page but take the credit where its due .........your goodself . Very concerned re numbers actually turning up but great surprise to see such a large turnout and a very positive attitude by all . Football is an easy old game the hardest part is finding out where each person fits in and probably for me having to pick 11 from all 22 who put in such huge effort. Whatever happens in challenge , Ladies Football is up and running or as pele said rolling , in Tuam......... cheers

WOW! What the hell has gone wrong with posts?!

Thanks for the advice Pele! I did do my own warm down but i can't remember the last time I did that much running, serious.

Buddy, I don't envy your job of having to pick that team, particularly the midfield and forward lines.

Well of the 22, 3 won't be around for the match and there was one girl there tonight who I was very surprised to see and she even said she didn't know why she was there so I doubt we'll be seeing her.
In saying that, there are still a few more to come so...Buddy you've definitely got the hard part!

Borat and gang as people who have been on this site for a few years now, know that myself and Buddy didnt always see eye to eye on matters, but i am a Tuam Celtic man and will do anything possible to get this club to the top tier, and i believe that it takes many different aspects to make a club successful. when i was approached regarding a Ladies team i set the wheels in motion and knew Buddy would be the man, whatever i do it will always be for the better of soccer in Tuam, so again best of Luck to Jimmy milkbottle legs, and Danny sunbed legs!!!!!! Great response from ladies again tonight with 25 present and the improvement shown is already there to be seen on only our second session . Albeit it would be nice to go out and beat Renmore , its not going to be possible in just 2 weeks of training and the fact that i suggested and everybody agreed that all will play some part on the day with winning not the objective , but rewarding each and everyone of them for their efforts . But we will certainly improve throughout the year and WILL be competitive in next seasons league and cup ........promise you that .
The attitude by all and especially our forum member Mary Drummer , who can play btw , is great and makes it easier for Danny and I .Tell ye one thing they are by far easier and less lippy than any male team to train and a pleasure to be with ........
Made my first blunder tonight when i asked one of the taller girls "What position do you like best ", boot out of mouth time !!!! Laughing
