Its been a well debated issue in the past and no one in fai, fa , 50% of refs can tell us the answer but "what size balls do u13s use".
I recently did a game where the manager was adamant that it was size 4 and i was informed size 5 at course so we played with a 5 . I know of one game where a size 4 was used in one half and a 5 in the other.
The latest i got from a supplier is size 4 for league and size 5 for Irish Cup and Kennedy Cup. Seems the problem arose some time back when a female person in FAI informed Kennedy Cup group there were size 5 in error .
Anyone care to sort this one out .............???????????????

O.K lads , after reffing a few games where there was a debate re ball decided to do my own homework. SFAI (schoolboy up to 16 ) rule book 31st May 2008 page 14 , Rule 42C
Managers and Referees please take note......I have also asked Administrator J.Joyce to include in next letter to all club secs .

U7 AND 8 SIZE 3
u9,10,11 and 12 ...SIZE 4
U13, 14, 15, AND 16 SIZE 5

As of now any game i do will be in accordance with above untill i am informed otherwise!!!!!

The only exception to the rule is if your a scouser or a Liverpool fan , any Beachball from size 3 to 55 will do .....Viva la Beachball!!!!!! bounce bounce tongue Laughing

Watch it all " blowing " up in Uniteds face , Liverpool to win it with a scatter of players missing ....United after being at their game at the weekend v Bolton havn't started playing at all yet and are clearly missing the different threats posed by mainly Ronaldo and secondly Tevex .

And if Coleen decides to pop at the weekend, Rooney might not be around. Still think we'll beat or draw with them, our confidence is much higher than Liverpools, 4 straight defeats, that's a tough one to come back from.
I hope it's an exciting match...

It didn't say he is "definitely" out, but that it will be an uphill fight for him. But it's doubtful that Gerrard will be there for Liverpool and Liverpool have struggled without him this season.
Evra will definitely be back. I really hope Fletcher is back...

Try the schools , you will get no challenge games from clubs at this time of the year due to games being played EVERY WEEK . Maybe try John Clarke at GMIT or Derek Rogers at NUIG .
