Eric Lavine and Mike Coosan are also in the running for it , not a bad gig to get the nucleus of the good side are still there , get rid straightaway the dead wood ie those who will not give 110% . Honestly as an admirer of Athenry , its these yokes that brought the team down the way not the current manager . Send them back to where they came from , there not Athenry men !

some of them wanted a change of management but if they really want to play for the club the players should play for whoever is chosen by the club as manager

Players shouldn't have much of a say in who manages them.

If there are lads not being picked they are likely to prefer a change for the sake of giving them a chance of being picked.

i have numerous awards juv,ex hibs,junior 80,s coached underage irsh cup winners incl jayo,seamus c keith w etc ,manager of east now 2 trophies will u give me soft 120 euro a week or do u want badges,ps only joking liuv EAST AND MY PLAYERS ITS CALLED LOYALTY, BUT 500 A WEEK TEMPTING

500 plus a week plus expenses and plus winning bonuses your tellin me you would turn it down

i think it should be pointed out just to avoid confusion the athenry manager is not getting paid

Heard its all changed at Athenry FC. Player power ruled and new management is in place. Any details from anyone in the know??

The new management team at Athenry fc are Gabriel Glavin Manager and Adrian Cronin assistant manager . It is an inhouse appointment as suggested , Gabriel was assistant to outgoing manager Tim and Adrian has been with the club in various positions for a number of years .
The forum would like to wish all the best to the two lads .I was asked to pass on a big big thank you to Timmy Holian for all his work and eforts over the last number of years , the most succesful period in the clubs history !

Training recommences this thursday at 7pm in Athenry .New and old members welcome

not be smart what does he know about soccer abous nothing,as for adrian all he is a goalkeeper coach,cant see them lastin the season

gabriel actually did a lot of the coaching side of things last few years adrian knows his stuff too id say they might suprise a few

Well if either of the two lads know more about diction and grammar than you , they are going to go a long way !
