west beat mervue B 2nite to qualify for the last 8,wasn't at the game,i believe west rested alot of players and were nearly caught on the hop by a mervue side who deserved something out of the game.west are now at home to either blues our mervue A in the last 8.

west will win it handy again this year .. hibs will struggle if they start how they finished last year .. oranmore i think had a great season but think they might not b up to it again this year .. athenry dont know wat happend to them last year but they will struggle to if they start like they finished last year .. mervue mid table , salthill will fight to stay up and corrib rangers could go either way they will have barry moran and simon walsh this year so if they got one or 2 more players they might do well

2 Hibs
3 athenry
4 rangers
5 mervue
6 oranmore
7 salthill
8 nuig
9 bernards
10 bohs

That's assuming rangers do get Barry moran and Simon walsh and that billy Cleary stays with nuig.otherwise rangers will drop below oranmore and nuig will drop below bohs

it should be closer this year however i would still expect west to win it,athenry will improve on last year so will corrib rangers, colemanstown will be a good addition, expect bohs to add a few players, hibs will be hibs always in the mix but probably a couple of years off winning it,mervue as always will be competitive, oranmore if they push on from last year will be up there again, nuig could be anything and salthill will just do enough to stay safe as like mervue there A team is now the priority.its too close to call on who will be relegated but i think we will definately have a stronger premier league this year with no whippin boys.

West got a great boost tonight with the news that Willie Grant and Tom Lally will be staying on for another year,Rumour had it both were on the way out,I can only see one winner of the premier now,I think the two lads will keep the squad together and possibly even improve the squad further.

the league will be a good bit tighter than people think, remember this time last season everyone was tipping athenry to run away with it,west will still be the team to beat but with some players currently on trial with some eircom teams they would be significantly weaker if they were to lose those players.
