I would like to congratulate Salthill Devon on winning the under 13 (legal )league , they won it deservadly so as they were they top team that did not play a man on the team well done Devon and also well done to the other 7 legal teams in the division !
If any one on the forum wants to see what mixed football looks like ie adult and kids on the same ...

west beat mervue B 2nite to qualify for the last 8,wasn't at the game,i believe west rested alot of players and were nearly caught on the hop by a mervue side who deserved something out of the game.west are now at home to either blues our mervue A in the last 8.

Its been a well debated issue in the past and no one in fai, fa , 50% of refs can tell us the answer but "what size balls do u13s use".
I recently did a game where the manager was adamant that it was size 4 and i was informed size 5 at course so we played with a 5 . I know of one game where a size 4 was used in one half and a 5 in the other.
The latest i got from a supplier is size 4 for league and size 5 for Irish Cup and Kennedy Cup. Seems the problem arose some time back when a female person in FAI informed Kennedy Cup group there were size 5 in error .
Anyone care to sort this one out .............??????????????? bounce

Size 4 U i3 and down . It used to be size 5 started at u 15 but about 7 / 8 years ago they moved tem down an age group .

According to sfai rule 42 , it is size 4 for under 13 down to u 9 . I rang the fai about this last year and could not get an answer , the local fa and connacht could not answer this one either . A seasrch on the fifa site says nothing re this basic white piese of leather - I mean why bother its only a football !!!!!!!
